The Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has announced in a press release that following an attack on a telecommunications tower on Sirik Island, located in Hormozgan Province, the IRGC Aerospace Force has targeted the air base from which the attack originated.
The statement said that the predetermined targets in this operation were hit and destroyed.
The Revolutionary Guards have stated that the attack on the telecommunications tower was carried out by the US military, and this action was met with a reciprocal response from Iranian forces.
The IRGC Aerospace Force has also warned that if such attacks are repeated, Iran’s response will be “completely different” and the responsibility for the consequences will lie with the attacking party.
