Russia and India discuss production of Su-57A stealth fighter
Russia and India are discussing cooperation in the production and transfer of technology for the Su-57 stealth fighter.
Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation has announced that over more than six decades of defense cooperation with Moscow, India has acquired the ability to produce some military equipment, including the Su-30MKI fighter jet, the T-90S tank, the AK-2033 rifle, and other weapons systems.
Russian officials have emphasized that the Indian side is interested in expanding this cooperation and participating in advanced military projects.
The Su-57A fighter jet is the export version of Russia’s most advanced fifth-generation fighter jet and is designed to perform air, ground, and sea missions.
This fighter jet has the capability of sustained flight at supersonic speeds, internal weapons bays, radar cross-section reduction technology, and advanced electronic and combat systems.
The Su-57A was first showcased at the Aero India 2025 air show in India and attracted widespread attention from experts and visitors
