The Wall Street Journal reported that US government officials have asked the “U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing” to review a design for a $250 bill featuring Donald Trump.
If this plan is implemented, for the first time in more than 150 years, the image of a living person will be printed on official US banknotes.
This is despite US federal law, which dates back to the 19th century, prohibiting the printing of images of living people on the country’s national currency.
