Trump announces sending 5,000 more US troops to Poland

US President Donald Trump announced that he plans to send 5,000 more US troops to Poland.

Trump raised this issue on the social network “Truth Social” but did not provide details about when and where these forces would be deployed.

Last week, Polish officials denied reports that they were halting the deployment of a combat battalion of more than 4,000 American soldiers to the country.

Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kuciniak-Kamich has said that the number of American troops in the country will not be reduced and that Warsaw is still trying to increase the presence of American troops.

He also emphasized that the withdrawal of about 5,000 American troops from Germany, previously announced by Trump, would lead to a reorganization of American forces in Europe.
