One dead, one injured after elephant attacks temple in India
Indian media outlet The Sun reported that one person was killed and another injured after an elephant attacked a Hindu temple in the Indian state of Kerala.
According to the report, the elephant, which was brought to the site for a prayer and blessing ceremony, went out of control and caused damage around the temple for about two hours.
It is said that the animal also injured another person before being subdued using a tranquilizer dart.
Local authorities are investigating how the incident occurred and are considering measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
