The Telegraph newspaper reported that less than two percent of asylum seekers from some countries, including Afghanistan, were deported from the UK last year.
According to this report, more than 40,000 asylum applications have been registered with the British Home Office, but only 285 people have been deported.
The report adds that Afghanistan is among the countries where less than one in 50 applicants is deported.
According to statistics, only 123 asylum seekers were deported out of 6,462 Afghan applicants last year, a return rate of about 1.9 percent.
