Putin and Araqchi meet in St. Petersburg, emphasizing strengthening Iran-Russia relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin met and held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in St. Petersburg.

According to RIA Novosti, Araqchi announced during this trip that developments related to the conflict with the United States and Israel were on the agenda. The meeting was also attended by senior Russian officials, including Sergei Lavrov, Yuri Ushakov, and Igor Kostyukov.

In addition to Araqchi, the Iranian delegation also included Kazem Gharibabadi and Kazem Jalali.

During this meeting, Araqchi described the relations between the two countries as a strategic partnership and conveyed the messages of the Iranian leader and president to Putin.

Putin has also said that the Iranian people are fighting bravely and heroically for their sovereignty, and Russia is trying to play a role in establishing peace in the region.
