Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced that its navy has seized the ship “Epaminodes” for maritime violations and disregard for warnings.
According to the announcement, the ship has been under intelligence surveillance for the past six months and has been stopped due to its frequent visits to US ports and suspicion of collaboration with the US military.
It was also said that the ship was sailing under the Liberian flag and stopped 36 times at 11 different US ports between October 2024 and January 2026, unloading about 299,000 tons of goods.
