US President Donald Trump, who began a naval blockade of Iran on Monday, claimed for the umpteenth time that we are close to the end of the war with Iran, but emphasized that “Washington’s work with Iran is not over yet.”
In an interview with Fox Business, Trump once again claimed that if he had not started the war, Iran would have nuclear weapons by now, and said that the main focus is negotiations to ban nuclear weapons for Iran.
Criticizing the lack of assistance from US allies in the war with Iran, he added that “the Strait of Hormuz is opening up and America’s relationship with countries that have refused to help Washington will no longer be the same.”
