Afghanistan-Pakistan joint jirga to be held in Peshawar on Wednesday

Pakistani media reported that a joint assembly between Afghanistan and Pakistan to resolve existing tensions between the two countries will be held in Peshawar on Wednesday, March 31.

Arbab Shahzad Khan, a former senior official in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announced that the jirga will be attended by political leaders, tribal elders, religious scholars, members of civil society, businessmen, and media representatives.

The purpose of holding this jirga is to encourage both sides to reduce tensions and establish peace between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
