While the Wall Street Journal reported, citing American officials, that Donald Trump was aware of the Israeli regime’s attack on Iran’s South Pars gas field (Asaluyeh) in advance and gave the green light, he claimed a few minutes ago that the United States was unaware of the attack.
The Wall Street Journal wrote: Trump’s goal in supporting this attack was to send a warning to Iran to continue to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed.
Trump also claimed: “Israel will not carry out any further attacks on the incredibly important and valuable South Pars oil field.”
These statements were made in a situation where Iran, in response to the bombing of its energy facilities, targeted several bases and centers affiliated with the United States and its allies in the region, and concerns have increased about escalating tensions.
