Uzbekistan ratifies preferential trade agreement with Afghanistan
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on ratification and signing of a preferential trade agreement with Afghanistan.
According to Uzbek media reports, this agreement includes the complete abolition of customs tariffs for 14 types of goods, the provision of phytosanitary (plant) facilities for Afghan agricultural products, and the expansion of support for exporters of the two countries.
This agreement is considered an important step towards strengthening economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, and is expected to pave the way for increasing exports of Afghan products to Uzbekistan and facilitating bilateral trade.
