The second meeting of the interim leadership council was held after the martyrdom of the Leader of the Iranian Revolution

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Agency released a video from the second meeting of the interim leadership council.

The meeting was attended by President Masoud Pezhakian, Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, and Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the religious leader of the Guardian Council and an appointed member of the Expediency Council.

This council was formed based on Article 111 of the Constitution after the martyrdom of His Highness Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei (may Allah be pleased with him) and assumes the duties and powers of the leadership until the election of a new leader.

The meeting was held in a situation where the country is on full security and defense alert and retaliatory operations against the aggressors continue.
