Statement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran following the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution
The statement states that God Almighty granted this great warrior soul and the pure son of Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her) the grace of martyrdom, like his follower, the Commander of the Faithful Ali (peace be upon him), in the blessed month of Ramadan.
The IRGC emphasized that we have lost a great leader who was unique in his era in purity of spirit, strength of faith, tact in matters of courage against the arrogant, and jihad in the way of Allah.
Martyrdom at the hands of the most vicious terrorists and executioners of humanity is a sign of the legitimacy of this great leader and acceptance of his sincere services.
The IRGC announced that with the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei (may Allah be pleased with him), his path and character will not stop and will continue with strength and glory. This martyrdom makes our nation more determined to continue his luminous path.
The criminal and terrorist act of the evil governments of America and the Zionist regime is a clear violation of religious, moral, legal, and customary standards. The Iranian nation’s hand of revenge for the severe, decisive, and regrettable punishment of the murderers of the Imam of the Ummah will not let them go.
The Revolutionary Guards, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic, and the massive popular mobilization will continue their path of strength to defend the precious legacy of this Supreme Leader and will stand firm in confronting domestic and foreign conspiracies and punishing the aggressors of the Islamic homeland.
