Pakistani airstrikes on Nangarhar and Paktika, 19 civilians martyred in Behsud district
Local sources reported that Pakistani army fighter jets carried out several airstrikes on various areas of Nangarhar and Paktika provinces in the past few hours.
According to these reports, after attacking Khogyani district, Pakistani forces also targeted Ghani Khel and Behsud districts in Nangarhar. In Behsud district, a house belonging to a civilian named Shahabuddin was bombed, killing 19 people and wounding two others.
Sources emphasized that most of the victims of the attack were members of one family, including women and children, and that the casualties were mainly civilians.
In Paktika province, Pakistani air forces targeted the districts of Barmal and Argun and bombed a religious school.
As of the time of publication of this news, no official from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan or the Pakistani government has commented on these attacks.
Local residents described the attacks as “heavy civilian casualties” and called for an immediate investigation, transparency, and accountability of the authorities.
