Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah condemn Pakistani airstrikes on Nangarhar and Paktika

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned Pakistan’s airstrikes on Nangarhar and Paktika provinces, calling them a clear violation of Afghanistan’s national sovereignty.

In a statement, Karzai called on Pakistan to review its policies toward Afghanistan and adopt a good-neighborly and civilized path to prevent escalation of tensions and harm to civilians.

Abdullah Abdullah, the chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation in the previous government, also strongly condemned these attacks, saying that such actions are contrary to the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan and lead to instability and an escalation of the crisis.

Abdullah emphasized, “Bombing, targeting civilians, and violence are not the solution. The best way to resolve problems between the two countries is through dialogue.”
