Unconfirmed rumors about Mohamed bin Zayed’s health, cancellation of meeting with Erdogan fuel speculation
Unconfirmed news is circulating on social media and in some international media outlets about the health of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, which emphasizes the ambiguity of his physical condition.
Axios reporter Barak Rawid retweeted a post from the account of X-Zaid Bin Yameen, which stated, “There have been reports that the UAE president has suffered a physical ailment, which has forced him to postpone his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Some accounts have even spread rumors of his death.”
At the same time, the same account of Zayed bin Yameen published another news, writing that an American lawmaker announced that rumors about the death of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed were not true and that he was still alive.
To date, no official Emirati source or statement from the Emirates Presidential Palace has been released regarding the health status of Mohammed bin Zayed.
