Former Pakistani diplomats say dialogue with Afghanistan is the only way to resolve differences and ensure regional stability
Some former Pakistani diplomats, at a roundtable meeting in Islamabad, emphasized the importance of establishing constructive dialogue with Afghanistan to resolve bilateral differences.
The meeting was held on Friday by the Islamabad Center for Strategic Studies, and the participants stated that the current situation in Afghanistan has direct consequences for the security and stability of the entire region, and the only way out of the problems is through constructive interaction and regular and continuous dialogue.
Former Pakistani diplomats noted that relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan are inherently interdependent and intertwined, and any tension between the two countries will have widespread negative effects on the entire region.
They emphasized that strengthening mutual trust, practical cooperation in various fields, and increasing common understanding between the two neighbors are essential prerequisites for achieving lasting stability in the region.
