Andarabi: Pakistan don’t want war with Afghanistan

A day after the country’s defense minister’s statement about the possibility of an attack on Afghanistan before Ramadan, Tahir Andarabi, spokesman for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, emphasized in a weekly press conference in Islamabad that Pakistan does not want war with Afghanistan at all.

He added that Islamabad neither closes the door to diplomacy with the brotherly country of Afghanistan nor opens the door to war, saying: “Diplomacy continues even during wars. Diplomacy does not stop during conflicts.”

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman also emphasized the need to maintain brotherly relations and resolve issues through dialogue and diplomatic channels.
