Trump’s harsh remarks against Iran’s leader: “You should be very worried” + cancellation of Muscat talks

In a brazen statement addressed to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, US President Donald Trump said, “I tell Ayatollah Khamenei, you should be very worried,” adding that he fully supports the protesters inside Iran.

Trump warned, “I’ve heard they’re rebuilding their nuclear facilities again, and in that case we’ll attack again,” and emphasized that he was warning the Iranians about the dire consequences of building new nuclear facilities.

In contrast, the White House told Al Jazeera that there is no news about negotiations with Iran so far and the situation may change by the end of today.

Al-Mayadeen Network reported, citing official Iranian sources, that the Iran-US talks, which were scheduled to be held on Friday in Muscat (Oman), have been canceled.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi said in a statement hours ago: “The nuclear talks with the United States are scheduled to be held in Muscat at around 10 a.m. on Friday,” and thanked the Omani brothers for making all the necessary arrangements.

The Axios website reported that at least nine countries in the region have urged the United States not to cancel the Oman talks and to continue the diplomatic process.
