Israeli media: US attack on Iran delayed, Netanyahu tells Trump Israel is not prepared to defend itself

Israeli media reported that US President Donald Trump has not given up on his decision to attack Iran, but has changed the timing of its implementation and postponed the operation.

According to Israel’s Channel 14 TV, the United States informed Israel on Wednesday that it planned to launch a nighttime attack on Iran, but the operation was ultimately called off, and the White House emphasized that all options regarding Iran are still on the table.

The Israel Hayom newspaper reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a conversation with Trump that Israel does not have the necessary defense preparedness against a possible massive Iranian response, and this may be one of the reasons for postponing the attack.

Channel 14 also reported that Washington notified Israel early Thursday morning that the operation to strike Iran had been suspended, while it had previously announced that the attack would be carried out at night.

In a related development, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Netanyahu and Trump had a telephone conversation on Thursday night , which likely discussed the situation in Iran and next options.

These reports come as tensions between the United States and Iran have increased following widespread protests in Iran and Trump’s threats of military action, but there are signs of a temporary easing of tensions.
