Putin receives credentials of the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Russia

The Russian Presidential Office announced that President Vladimir Putin will receive the credentials of a number of new ambassadors of foreign countries residing in Moscow on Thursday .

The list published by the Kremlin also includes the name of Gul Hassan Hassan, the ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to the Russian Federation.

This event signifies the official acceptance of Gul Hassan Hassan as the diplomatic representative of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Moscow by the Russian government and can be considered an important step towards strengthening and formalizing bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Russia.

Receiving credentials from the president of the host country is one of the key steps in the official start of the diplomatic mission of foreign ambassadors.

This action comes at a time when Russia has expanded its relations with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in recent years through numerous diplomatic meetings, economic cooperation, and attendance at regional meetings
