Russian Defense Ministry: 11 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed last night
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced in its daily report that the country’s air system intercepted and destroyed 11 drones belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces over various regions of Russia last night.
According to the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian drones were targeted in the Rostov, Belgorod, Kursk, and Oryol regions and were destroyed before reaching their intended targets.
The ministry emphasized that none of the drones managed to penetrate deep into Russian territory or cause damage, and that the air system’s operations continued without casualties or material damage.
The incident comes as reciprocal drone attacks between Russia and Ukraine have intensified in recent weeks, with both sides accusing each other of targeting infrastructure and civilian areas.
