Araqchi: Iran is ready to negotiate with the US without threats or dictation, but Washington is not yet ready for a fair dialogue
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced in an interview with Al Jazeera that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to negotiate with the United States without any threats or dictates, but he believes that Washington is not yet ready for a fair and just dialogue.
“We are ready to negotiate with the United States without threats or dictation, but we do not think that Washington is ready for fair and just negotiations. When these conditions are met, we will seriously consider it,” Araqchi stressed.
In another part of his speech, referring to the military option, he warned, “If Washington wants to retry the military option it tried before, we are ready.”
These statements come at a time when tensions between Tehran and Washington have increased in recent months over nuclear issues, sanctions, and regional developments, and statements by American officials have emphasized maximum pressure.
