Araqchi: The situation in Iran is completely under control; US and Israeli involvement in terrorist chaos is obvious
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, in a meeting with foreign diplomats residing in Tehran, explained the latest internal developments in the country and emphasized that the situation is completely under control of the security forces.
Araqchi stated: “After the initial protests by the marketers, the government immediately held talks with representatives of the guilds and the protests decreased, but from January 8th we entered a new phase in which terrorist elements and weapons entered the crowd of demonstrators.”
He added: “ISIS-style violence entered the demonstrations. Groups began destroying public places. Iran will take revenge on anyone whose hands are stained with the blood of the children of the Iranian nation.”
Referring to foreign interference, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated: “We have conclusive evidence and documents that show that the United States and the Zionist regime are involved in the terrorist war against Iran; Mossad and its accomplices are monitoring the demonstrations, and their interference is the main cause of the killings and riots.”
In part of his speech, Araqchi pointed out the contradictions of American politics, saying that in the United States, a police officer killed a woman who had done nothing and Trump defends that police officer, but in Iran, he defends the gunmen who kill the police.
He also announced: “The internet will be reconnected soon and in coordination with security institutions, and the situation in Iran is completely under control; Iran is not looking for war, but it is ready to confront any aggression, and its readiness is currently higher than ever.”
Araqchi ended by sending a message to the real protesters: “We accept your demands, but rioting, burning public property, and shooting are not something that any country accepts.”
He also pointed to a survey according to which 70% of Iranians believe that the main reason for the protests is foreign orders and interference, and only 30% believe it is related to economic reasons.
