Relative calm in Iran after wave of unrest, report on the situation in cities tonight

According to Iranian media reports and images sent tonight (January 11, 2026), the public atmosphere in Iran is reported to be calm and without serious tension.

In Tehran, only 370 people gathered and attempted to create chaos, but were dispersed by a decisive police response.

In Mashhad, after police suspected him of being an armed man, it was confirmed that he was; the man opened fire on the soldiers and wounded one of the police, but the gunman was killed in the ensuing clash.

In Ilam Province, after identifying 7 leaders of armed activities, an arrest operation was carried out, which resulted in the killing of one terrorist and the arrest of others.

These developments indicate that the situation is moving towards relative calm after several days of unrest and widespread protests in various cities in Iran.
