Jordan bombed areas in southern Syria
The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that the country’s fighter jets have targeted areas on the outskirts of the Sweida province in southern Syria with airstrikes in an effort to combat arms and drug trafficking networks.

It resulted in the neutralization of a number of smugglers and the targeting of factories and workshops that these groups were using as shelters and bases for smuggling operations into Jordan.
These attacks were carried out in coordination with regional partners.
Syrian media and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported several explosions in border areas and heavy fighter jet activity.
This operation comes a few days after Jordan announced its participation with the United States in operations against the ISIS terrorist group in Syria.
