Maulana Fazlur Rehman Attack on Kabul on the pretext of enemies is not justified
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, called on the governments of Kabul and Islamabad to resolve tensions and differences between the two countries through dialogue and political solutions.
Fazlur Rehman strongly criticized Pakistan’s military policies, stressing that the attack on Afghanistan on the pretext of targeting enemies is not justified.
Addressing the Pakistani military, he said: “If you attack Kabul on the pretext that your enemy is present there, then why is your reaction different when India targets its enemies inside Pakistan?”
The leader of the Islamic Scholars’ Association added that continuing tensions are not in the interest of either side, and the only way out of the crisis is through dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect between neighboring countries.
These statements come at a time when relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have faced serious challenges in recent months, including mutual allegations of harboring armed groups.
