Egypt announces readiness to participate in the reconstruction of southern Lebanon
Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, who traveled to Lebanon, announced in a meeting with the country’s economic activists that Cairo considers Lebanon not only a political partner, but also a strategic and fundamental partner.
Madbouly stressed that Egyptian public and private companies are ready to cooperate with Lebanese companies to rebuild Lebanon, especially its southern regions that were damaged in the recent war.
These statements come at a time when Lebanon is in dire need of rebuilding infrastructure and residential areas after recent clashes with the Israeli regime, and Egypt, as one of the key Arab countries, has announced its support for Lebanon.
This visit and declaration of readiness are considered a step towards strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and Lebanon and regional support for the stability of this country.
