Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan hold bilateral meeting to expand economic and trade cooperation in Kabul

A bilateral meeting between the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Nooruddin Azizi, and the Minister of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan, Bekit Sedikov, Bakit Torobayev, was held in Kabul.

According to a press release from the Afghan Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in this meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on increasing trade volume, considering the extensive existing capacities, targeting specific export items, developing transit and concluding transit agreements, attracting foreign and joint investments, holding exhibitions, conferences and business meetings, and also holding regular meetings of the joint working group.

The parties also emphasized the implementation of previous understandings, especially the roadmap for economic and trade cooperation that was signed during the Afghan delegation’s visit to Kyrgyzstan
