Iraqchi at the meeting of special representatives of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, the common future of the region is linked to the future of Afghanistan
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi emphasized at a meeting of special representatives of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries and Russia that the experience of the past few decades shows that security, development, and prosperity in Afghanistan are directly tied to the interests of all neighboring countries.
Referring to the poem of Iqbal Lahori, a Persian-speaking Pakistani poet, he added: “It is not an exaggeration to say that the common future of our region is linked to the future of Afghanistan.”
Araqchi considered the countries present at the meeting to have a moral, humanitarian, and regional responsibility to help the people of Afghanistan, more than any other party.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also stated that these meetings not only enable synergy and coordination in various fields, but also help create a coherent and sustainable regional approach in managing common challenges and crises.
This meeting was held in Tehran, focusing on Afghan issues, without the presence of official representatives of the Islamic Emirate.
