Israeli Consulate in New York: Not a single Turkish soldier will enter Gaza

Ofir Akunis, the Israeli Consul General in New York, emphasized in an interview with the Hebrew channel “Kan” that Tel Aviv’s policy does not allow any Turkish soldiers to enter the Gaza Strip.

Akunis called Turkey “an enemy of Israel” and referred to statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who accused the Zionist regime of committing genocide in Gaza and behaving similarly to Hitler.

In another part of his remarks, the Israeli Consul General addressed the situation in Syria and said: “We are seeking a security agreement with Syria and we must focus on this agreement.”

Rejecting former Defense Minister Ehud Barak’s statement that “we will eat hummus in Damascus,” Akunis added that this will not happen anytime soon, and we will certainly not eat hummus in Damascus in the coming years.

He also called on American mediators to demilitarize the area between Damascus and the Golan Heights in a possible security agreement and prevent a repeat of the “massacre” of Druze brothers like the one two months ago.
