Azerbaijani Ambassador meets with Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Information and Culture of Afghanistan
Mawlavi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate, met with Ilham Muhammadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kabul, and Tarayl Ismailov, Consul of this country, on Saturday.
In this meeting, which was held with the aim of strengthening cultural relations and expanding joint cooperation between the two countries, the Azerbaijani ambassador emphasized that the two countries have many commonalities in religious, cultural and other fields, and that Baku wants to develop political, commercial, economic and cultural relations with Kabul.
Praising the Islamic Emirate’s attention to cultural affairs despite the challenges, Muhammadov added that Azerbaijani tourists, after traveling to Afghanistan, have introduced the country’s historical, recreational, and cultural attractions to the world through the media.
He described Afghanistan as a safe country now and said Azerbaijan is ready to educate Afghan youth through online courses.
Molavi Qudratullah Jamal also emphasized the need to strengthen relations for progress and appreciated Azerbaijan’s positive perspective.
Referring to Afghanistan’s need for cooperation from friendly countries after years of war, he called for greater media coordination between the two countries to show the world the true picture of Afghanistan’s security and to create opportunities to attract tourists.
In the end, both sides agreed to expand joint cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, and media.
