Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei announced that the country will host a regional meeting on Afghanistan next week.
Referring to the recent tensions between Kabul and Islamabad, Baghaei emphasized that Iran “prioritizes peace and stability in its neighborhood and spares no effort to reduce tensions between regional countries and create understanding.”
He said the special representatives of Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, China and Russia on Afghanistan will meet in Tehran.
It is worth noting that the exact details of the date and agenda of this meeting have not yet been announced.
