India delivers 63,000 doses of influenza and meningitis vaccine to Afghanistan
India once again fulfilled its commitment to support the country’s health system and delivered 63,734 doses of influenza and meningitis vaccines to Kabul.
Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said the shipment was sent as part of New Delhi’s humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and would be used in the preventive programs of the Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Public Health.
The country’s health officials emphasized that these vaccines will play an important role in reducing the risk of seasonal diseases and preventing the spread of meningitis, and will help strengthen preventive services, especially during sensitive seasons.
India has been one of the largest supporters of the country’s health sector in recent years and has repeatedly sent medical equipment, medicines, and vaccines to Afghanistan.
