Riyadh talks between Kabul and Islamabad again failed
The new round of talks between the high-ranking Islamic delegation of the Afghan Emirate and the Pakistani delegation in the Saudi capital ended without reaching an agreement, authoritative Pakistani media reported on Monday evening.
According to informed sources, these talks, which were held behind closed doors, were accompanied by the repetition of previous positions by both sides and the lack of flexibility from either delegation, and no progress was observed.
Sources have also stated that another round of these talks will likely be held in Riyadh in the near future.
This is the second time in recent months that direct talks between the two countries have reached a deadlock. Previously, similar talks in Istanbul had ended without a result, which the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had cited as the reason for the unreasonable demands of the Pakistani side.
So far, neither side has officially confirmed or denied the outcome of these negotiations.
