Ukraine rejects Trump’s peace offer: We will not cede even an inch of land
The head of the Ukrainian presidential administration firmly stated that Kiev will never agree to any agreement that involves the ceding of part of its territory to Russia.
Andriy Permak, one of Volodymyr Zelensky’s closest advisers, emphasized in an interview with The Atlantic that no one should expect us to cede even a single inch of Ukrainian territory.
The president will not sign such a document, and the constitution prohibits it.
These statements come as US President Donald Trump has made proposals for a quick peace in the Ukraine-Russia war, which include handing over some occupied territories to Moscow.
Kiev’s categorical refusal demonstrates Ukraine’s unwillingness to make any territorial concessions.
Yermak, who recently faced political pressure to step down on corruption charges, still enjoys Zelensky’s full trust and is tasked with advancing peace talks.
