Afghan Ambassador to Moscow: Connecting the North-South Corridor with Lajwar way
Gul Hassan Hassan, Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to the Russian Federation, attended the third International Forum of the North-South Transport Corridor held in Moscow.
In his speech, Mr. Hassan emphasized that connecting the North-South Transport Corridor with the Lapis Lazuli Route (Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey) and the six-country land corridor could pave the way for a major economic transformation in the Eurasian region.
The Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Moscow said in a statement that the participants of the forum considered economic growth and regional trade development to be strongly dependent on political and security stability in Afghanistan.
The North-South Transport Corridor is a major infrastructure project that connects Russia, Iran, India, and several other countries through maritime, rail, and land routes, and Afghanistan can play a role as a key bridge between Central Asia and South Asia in this corridor.
