Minister of Economy meets with Mercy Corps delegation, emphasizes economic and humanitarian cooperation

Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, Minister of Economy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met with Ms. Sana Johnson, Regional Head of Mercy Corps and Ms. Mariana Van Sen, Head of the organization.

In this meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Economy, the parties emphasized strengthening economic relations with Afghanistan, combating climate change, and supporting the key sectors of agriculture and energy.

Ms. Sana Jansen assured at the meeting that Mercy Corps will continue and expand its cooperation in the following areas:

-Supporting returning migrants

-Water supply projects and access to clean water

-Strengthening the agriculture and energy sectors

-Environmental protection

– Supporting small and medium-sized businesses

This meeting was held in order to attract international aid and strengthen humanitarian and development cooperation with global institutions.
