Istanbul talks end without results Mujahid Pakistan’s irresponsible behavior prevents agreement
Maulvi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said the meeting with the Pakistani delegation in Istanbul on November 6 and 7 did not reach any conclusion and that the irresponsible behavior and lack of cooperation of the Pakistani side was the main reason for the failure.
Mujahid added that with the good intentions of the Islamic Emirate and the efforts of the mediators, unfortunately, the Pakistani side tried to refer all its security responsibilities to the Afghan government during the negotiations, while it did not show any readiness to accept any responsibility for Afghanistan’s security or even its own security.
The spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, while appreciating the mediating countries, emphasized that Afghanistan will not allow anyone to use its territory against another country and will resolutely defend itself against any aggression with the help of God Almighty and the support of the people.
The talks, which were aimed at reducing border tensions and security issues, once again highlighted the deep differences between Kabul and Islamabad.
