Lebanese army deploys on southern border to counter Israeli aggression
After months of appeasement, the Lebanese government deployed forces in the border town of Mays al-Jabal in the south of the country to confront the movements and aggressions of the Zionist regime.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency, this action was taken following a direct order from President Joseph Aoun and in response to Israeli military movements near the “Krum al-Marah” area.
The Lebanese army has dispatched armored vehicles and additional forces to the region to counter any aggression against Lebanese territory.
The deployment was issued after an Israeli airstrike on the Blida municipality building in Lebanon, which resulted in the death of one of its employees.
Israel’s Kan network reported that Tel Aviv is considering escalating military operations in Lebanon, citing concerns about Hezbollah’s power.
Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah, had previously emphasized that the government is responsible for maintaining sovereignty and stopping aggression, and must develop a plan for the army to confront Israel.
