Qatari Foreign Minister’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Faisal bin Abdullah al-Hanzab met with EU Special Representative for Afghanistan Giles Bertrand.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a press release that the two sides discussed and exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the government of Qatar and the European Union, especially joint efforts regarding Afghanistan.
The main focus of the talks was on further coordination in the humanitarian, political, and development fields to support the stability and reconstruction of Afghanistan.
This meeting demonstrates Qatar’s active role as a key mediator in Afghan affairs and the European Union’s willingness to work with regional partners to solve the country’s challenges.
The two sides emphasized continuing diplomatic and operational interactions.
