China emphasizes strengthening stable relations with Afghanistan

Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, met and discussed with Pushia and Yong, China’s special representative for Afghanistan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral relations, expanding cooperation between the two countries and the latest tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Stressing the historical neighborly relations between Afghanistan and China, Dr. Naeem stated that the Islamic Emirate is committed to interacting with all countries based on mutual respect and will not allow Afghan soil to be used against the interests of others.

He added: “Pakistan has tested the patience of the Islamic Emirate over the past four years, and a reciprocal response was necessary, but our consistent position is to resolve problems through dialogue and understanding.”

Yuxia and Yong also stated that China wants long-term relations based on mutual respect with Afghanistan and respects the country’s national sovereignty and values.
