Hamas hands over two more bodies of Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross
The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced on Saturday that it had handed over two more bodies of Israeli prisoners to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
According to the Qassam statement, the bodies of the two Zionist prisoners were pulled from the rubble in the Gaza Strip at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Palestinian time, and were immediately handed over to the Red Cross.
The Israeli army also confirmed this in an official statement, announcing that the International Committee of the Red Cross had received two coffins containing the bodies of Israeli prisoners and that they were being transferred to Israeli forces on the Gaza Strip border.
The Israeli TV channel Channel 12 also reported that the Israeli army has received the delivered bodies and that they are currently on their way to be transported into the occupied Palestinian territories.
This handover took place within the framework of brokered agreements for the exchange of prisoners and bodies and is considered a new step in the ongoing negotiations.
