Details of the ceasefire agreement, a peace agreement between Kabul and Islamabad mediated by Qatar and Türkiye in Doha
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, announced on Sunday morning that the talks between Afghan and Pakistani representatives in Qatar ended with the signing of an agreement.
Based on this bilateral agreement, the parties emphasized their commitment to peace, mutual respect, and good neighborly relations and called for resolving problems through dialogue.
The parties agreed to establish a complete and meaningful ceasefire and pledged not to take any hostile action against each other.
The Islamic Emirate will also refrain from supporting groups that operate against the Pakistani government.
The agreement includes a commitment not to attack each other’s civilian security forces and installations.
In the future, a mechanism will be established through the mediation of Qatar and Türkiye to review mutual claims and implement the agreement.
This agreement is considered an important step towards regional stability after recent tensions, including Pakistani airstrikes on Paktika.
