The Zionist regime’s extremist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that the Zionist regime should completely destroy the Gaza Strip after releasing Israeli prisoners.
According to Al Jazeera, Smotrich, citing his concerns about the consequences of releasing Palestinian prisoners, emphasized that he could not vote in favor of the ceasefire proposal unless the agreement was solely for the release of Israeli prisoners without stopping the war.
He added: “Israel must ensure that the agreement to release Israeli prisoners is not in exchange for a cessation of war, so Gaza must be destroyed after the release of Israeli prisoners.”
These statements come as prisoner exchange and ceasefire negotiations are underway in Gaza, and the party led by Itamar Ben Guer, the regime’s Interior Minister, has held an emergency meeting to vote against the possible agreement without leaving the ruling coalition.
