Thousands of Palestinian supporters held a peaceful demonstration in front of the US Embassy in Bogota on Tuesday (October 7, 2025), demanding an immediate end to Washington’s support for the Israeli regime and a halt to the bombing of Gaza.
These protests coincided with the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and the escalation of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
According to Al Jazeera and Columbia Reports, protesters chanted “Palestine,” “Free,” and “No to Genocide,” and raised Palestinian flags, marching from the US Embassy to Bolivar Square in the city center.
The demonstration is part of a global wave of anti-Israel protests on the anniversary of the Gaza war, which were also held in cities such as Jakarta, with more than a thousand participants, and Tokyo.
The United Nations and Amnesty International have welcomed these protests and emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the siege of Gaza.
