Foreign Minister meets with Pakistani Jamaat-e-Islami delegation, emphasizes positive relations and exchange of delegations

Maulvi Amir Khan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of the country, met and held talks with a delegation of the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan party led by Muhammad Ibrahim.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Mottaki said the exchange of delegations at various levels between the two countries was important and described positive relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan as benefiting the people of both sides.

He emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields.

During the meeting, Mohammad Ibrahim and other members of the delegation also stressed the closeness between the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan and praised the progress in Afghanistan.

The members of the delegation considered the improvement of relations between the two countries beneficial for improving the lives of people on both sides of the border line and expressed hope that they would overcome existing problems.

The meeting, which is part of diplomatic efforts to strengthen brotherly relations between the two neighbors, took place at a time when border tensions and migration issues remain challenges to bilateral relations.
