Sergei Lavrov attends four regional foreign ministers’ meeting on Afghanistan
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov participated in the meeting of foreign ministers of the four regional countries on Afghanistan.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced in a press release that the meeting was held on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.
In his opening remarks, Lavrov emphasized the need for regional cooperation for the stability of Afghanistan and called on his counterparts to jointly address the country’s security and economic challenges.
The countries participating in this quadrilateral format include China, Pakistan, Iran, and Russia, which focus on key issues such as counterterrorism, humanitarian aid, and the country’s economic development
