Netanyahu officially calls for disarmament in southwestern Syria
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced that Benjamin Netanyahu has officially called for the disarmament of the Syrian interim government in the southwest of the country.
The statement emphasizes that the ongoing talks between Syria and the Zionist regime are aimed at ensuring Israel’s interests.
The Zionist regime’s interests include disarming the Syrian interim government in the southwest of the country and protecting the lives of the Druze.
This request came as Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Shara (Jolani) emphasized dialogue and diplomacy with Israel at the United Nations General Assembly and called on the international community to support Syria against Israeli threats.
Golani also referred to Israel’s occupation of Syrian territories and emphasized Syria’s commitment to the 1974 agreement.
He said that we rely on dialogue and diplomacy to overcome the crisis caused by Israeli aggression.
